BOOK YOUR PLACE!
BACA restart sessions every Thursday from 7.00-9.30pm
We’ve created a robust health and safety protocol which meets both British Fencing and BACA’s guidelines and is tailored around why we all keep coming back for more! Safe space is paramount and is dictating our numbers, but rest assured we will aim to grow them as soon as guidelines allow.
New normal times bring new normal measures.
Due to the current situation creating additional costs we have regrettably been forced to review our fees these will be increased with immediate effect to –
£25 Per month for adults(13+). £18 Per month for Students/Juniors. Annual fees will rise to £300 Per adult £216 per student/junior. This is still fantastic value for money and we continue to be one of the most competitively priced fencing clubs in the country.
Fully paid members will have priority for free tickets
(If you cancelled your standing order you will need to restart it at the new increased rate)
You can now pay at the door too!
Card payment at the door is possible for adult guests(13+) who have their own kit. Please proceed to book online as normal for this option. Please be aware that as priority is being given to adult full members for these sessions your booking maybe moved to the waiting list, but we’ll let you know in good time if so.
Membership Application & Standing Order Form
At least initially, we will not be able to provide any equipment each week as we have done other than scoring boxes and cables for pistes. However, if you do need to borrow equipment, please let us know and we may be able to loan you some items with a deposit.
Juniors (under 13) and beginners courses.
We regret that for the time being and until we are confident the procedures we have put in place are effective and any glitches have been ironed out, we will not be able to accommodate our junior fencers (under 13’s) or run any courses. However, please be assured that just as soon as we’re confident we can safely have younger fencers back and start the courses up once again, we will do so.
Junior fencers over 13 may attend with their own kit. However, if you do need to borrow equipment, please let us know and we may be able to loan you some items with a deposit.
We can not accommodate parents/guardians due to safe space restrictions in the hall. However, there is a waiting area at reception close by.
Welfare and Safeguarding.
The club’s coach and Covid19 Officer, is Lewis McInley and if you have any Covid19 related questions, please let Lewis know and he’ll be able to respond to you. firstname.lastname@example.org If you have any concerns about something not being safe or you are worried about the welfare of anyone at the club, please don’t keep it to yourself, instead you can speak in confidence to the club welfare officer, Tim Chittleburgh. email@example.com
As easy as 1, 2, 3.
Please be sure that you understand and comply with each step, as you will not be able to attend a session without having done so.
UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO HALL PROTOCOL
At each session we ask that you maintain social distance with other people and you should also wear a face covering while not fencing. When you arrive, please check in with a committee member, use the hand sanitiser provided and be prepared to have your temperature taken. Please be aware of your fitness and health at all times. If you feel hot or find it difficult to breathe, stop fencing and seek assistance if required. When you are fencing you are not expected to wear a face covering other than your fencing mask.
You will be asked to fence in groups of no more than six each evening and you will not be able to move between groups during each session. You should also keep socially distanced from other groups. While a fencing salute to you opponent and the referee is good etiquette, handshakes are not required.
Fletching/running attacks, corps a corps, deliberate close-quarter actions and any actions that bring you within one metre of your opponent are not permitted. Please also be aware that shouting should also be kept at a minimum to prevent any potential spread of the virus.
